Skin needling therapy
Skin needling is the latest skin renewal technique to restore the healthy appearance of facial skin. It produces similar results to lasers, deep chemical peels and dermabrasion but is much less invasive and a fraction of the cost. We choose to use the Dermapen for our skin needling treatments as this causes far less trauma, is more accurate, safer and far more effective than other skin needling equipment. The Dermapen uses multiple extremely fine needles that vertically pierce the skin with an automatic vibrating function. When moved gently across the skin’s surface it creates microscopic channels that penetrate into the dermis (deeper layers of skin). These channels stimulate the skin to produce more collagen fibres and other growth factors without any damage to the epidermis (outer layer of skin). Absorption of specialist treatment serums is dramatically enhanced, allowing active ingredients to penetrate the epidermis and work at a deeper cellular level. Dermapen Skin Needling is recommended for:
- Aged sagging skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin tightening and rejuvenation
- Large pores
- Stretch marks

Can skin needling improve my acne scars?
The results we are getting from skin needling acne scars are remarkable. After 3 or 4 treatments, the skin is visibly smoother. Atrophic facial scars are always a challenge to treat, especially the ones that are deep-seated. Micro-needling offers a simple and extremely effective management of these scars.
